The consequences of Donald Trump’s election affect women in ways men simply cannot relate

Hey fellas, the women you know may be processing the results of this election differently. I don’t think they aren’t being overly emotional.

There is something else happening here.

We knew how consequential the results of this election were for women, but too often understanding the outcomes were mostly an intellectual exercise and a political calculation for men.

The consequences of the results are NOT the same for women.

Think about it. Really think about it.

The coach sets the tone for the team.
The CEO sets the tone for the company.
The Pastor, Rabbi, or Imam sets the tone for the house of faith.

When any one of those key leaders exhibit behaviors to the people they lead, they increase the likelihood that their behavior — good or bad -- will be replicated.

At a minimum, those that follow them will assume they and others around them have permission to do the same thing.
